The Remote Manager

Exponential Training’s new on-line Remote Manager course was a HUGE SUCCESS! On 28 June, 20 managers from the UK, Croatia, Bulgaria and Ireland took part in our new Remote Manager course funded by Erasmus+.

Remote Managers

Increasingly, managers are managing remote team members and virtual teams requiring a new skill set. The aim of the Remote Manager course is to help team leaders and managers to improve their impact and performance.

The two-hour webinar lead by Exponential’s Managing Director, John Moore and Quality Manager, Anne-Marie Daly, was packed with ideas, tools and techniques all designed to boost performance and effectiveness.

During the course, John and Anne-Marie explored the skills and competencies required by the Remote Manager as well as the benefits of introducing remote and flexible working.

Anne-Marie said, “In my role as a Performance Coach supporting managers who are completing one of our Chartered Management Institute qualifications, I have found more and more managers are being required to manage remote team members. Although the principles of management remain the same, it is necessary for them to adapt their behaviours and techniques. One of the obvious differences is the need to make more use of digital communication and collaboration tools.”

The managers who attended the course received a FREE TeamMate 360 skills assessment and report, a practical workbook to help transfer ideas and techniques into your workplace, a copy of the slide presentation PLUS access to a set of practical ‘How To’ videos about managing remote workers and virtual teams.
