In the foothills of Mount Panachaikon, in the delightful town of Patras, the LEAP partners had their first sight of the new LEAP e-portfolio portal. “The LEAP portal looks to be user-friendly and easy to navigate” said Exponential Performance Coach, Anne-Marie Daly.
The LEAP Specification
The owners of the IT consultancy BEST Cybernetics Makis and Nicole Georgogianni showed the Erasmus+ partners the LEAP e-portfolio step by step. Based on the wireframe diagrams developed earlier in the project, the BEST Cybernetics team is turning the LEAP concept into a reality.
Once developed, partners will be able to upload their courses and add tutors, assessors and moderators who will use LEAP with their learners and students. Using the LEAP tools, assessors and tutors will be able to support learners through their courses once they are registered.
LEAP will enable tutors to agree action plans with students, mark their assessments and assignments and to give them feedback on their performance. Once assessed, moderators will be able to quality sample student work and ensure tutors are all working to the same quality standards.
To demonstrate the versatility of LEAP, each of the partners will work in their own language and will deliver different courses and qualifications. In the UK, Exponential Training will deliver Chartered Management Institute qualifications in leadership and management as well as professional consulting and coaching and mentoring. Other partners such as DEKAPLUS will deliver hospitality-based courses whilst others will deliver courses in IT, health and safety and languages.
The next steps for LEAP partners is to design and then upload their courses to the LEAP portal. By the end of the summer, it is expected that LEAP will contain over 100 units making up a series of courses and qualifications ready to be tested with learners, tutors and moderators.
