The best way to understand new markets is to visit and to meet people. This is why Exponential took part in a UK Trade & Investment Trade Mission to Singapore.
Following a briefing at the British Embassy about Singapore, the Trade Mission delegates listened to a series of presentations from Singaporean VET agencies before having the opportunity of meeting with the one-to-one. As a result of the one-to-ones, Exponential’s John Moore had discussions with several potential partners for both its Perspectives 360 assessment system and its Chartered Management Institute (CMI) programmes.
Exponential also exhibited at the Singapore HR Summit. “I found the experience of being able to meet so many people in such as short space of time invaluable. I now have a much clearer understanding of how to conduct business in Singapore. I have met over twenty really good contacts and am already planning my next visit” said John.
This is just the third Trade Mission that Exponential has attended and possibly the most valuable. “If I can give one piece of advice to any UK company thinking about exporting, it would be to talk to UK Trade & Investment. Exponential’s UKTI International Trade Advisor, Chris Foster, has been a tremendous help. I can also say that Elsie Yim (UKTI Senior Trade and Investment Attaché Singapore) has been extremely helpful and I look forward to working with her as our plans take shape in Singapore” John added.
