Our first line management qualifications provide a great platform for those starting out or in the early part of their career in management.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, however there are certain eligibility criteria which need to be met to receive the funding, see below.

These qualifications are ideal for current or aspiring team leaders, supervisors & junior managers who want to gain an introduction to first line management.

CMI Award in First Line Management: (Duration: 4 – 6 Weeks)

*Eligibility Criteria:

  • Private Company/ Social Enterprise
  • Companies Based in the Leicester City Wards (View Wards)
  • Strictly SMEs with less than 250 employees

Private Companies and Social Enterprises with less than 250 employees and who are based in the Leicester City Wards are eligible to apply. Funding has been made available for the development of up to five individuals per company.

Funding does not cover the cost of VAT however, this may be claimed back via the normal route if you are VAT registered.

NB: The funding may also be used to support employees facing the risk of redundancy.

All qualifications must be completed before the end of January 2013.

 

Assessment Method:

Assessment is achieved through the writing of assignments (one 2,000 – 2,500 word assignment per unit). Delegates will also have 24/7 access to the online support materials which include assignment templates, comprehensive e-learning modules, access to CMI online learning resources (ManagementDirect) and a ‘Guide to Writing your Assignment’.

Delegates will have the option to submit a draft of their assignment, which will be assessed and for which feedback will be provided on possible/necessary improvements.

One-to-One Tutorials:

The one-to-one tutorials will be used to support the delegates in successfully completing their assignment(s). Delegates will meet with their Personal Tutor/ Assessor at our training centre in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire (LE9 7ND) or alternatively delegates can meet on an individual basis, through online meeting software such as Skype or telephone, if preferred.
