Despite BREXIT, Exponential Training has been very busy working with dozens of partners throughout Europe. In 2019, Exponential Training attended eighteen European partner meetings in eleven different countries.
The life of an Erasmus+ partner
When you are an Erasmus+ project partner, you become very familiar with the roads to and from Stanstead, Luton, Heathrow and Birmingham airports. You also learn how to check in and beat the queues in security and passport control. You learn which airports have the best business lounges and how to minimise the stress of endless check-ins, late arrivals and the ‘passenger from hell’ that always seems to be sat next to you!
Seriously, the opportunity to meet so many likeminded people at partner meetings and to learn about and share new ideas and expertise is a privilege. From learning about project management in Poland, digitalisation of small businesses in Denmark and learning portfolios in Lisbon, 2019 has been educational.
Exponential Training Managing Director, John Moore, said:
“Travel really does broaden the mind. I learn something from every Erasmus+ partner project meeting. Sometimes it might be a new technique or knowledge – other times it might be a new perspective or way of working.”
One of the most valuable outcomes of Erasmus+ projects is the ability to develop and test new ideas and techniques. Many of the lessons and outcomes are then adopted or adapted and integrated into Exponential’s mainstream courses and services. For example, the LEAP project has enabled Exponential to develop and test a new on-line learning and assessment platform – now 200 learners are using LEAP as part of their Chartered Management Institute qualification with Exponential Training.
In 2020, Exponential will be inviting business owners to test the new Your Business Success – a new on-line business planning tool designed for smaller enterprises. Later in the year, managers will be able to register to take part in an innovative course called, Managers as Coaches where they will learn how to grow and develop teams and team members using the latest coaching tools and techniques.
One of the Erasmus+ projects that has been invaluable for Exponential was the IDEAL project. During the two-year project, Exponential and other partners learned about and explored over 100 different digital learning and assessment tools – several of which are now used by Exponential Training.
