In September 2016, Exponential Training along with partners from Denmark, Italy, Greece, Finland and Bulgaria started a digital revolution with the launch of the Erasmus+ project called, the Digitalisation of Micro European Enterprises (DiTEM). Nearly three years later, the DiTEM partners are celebrating the success of the project.
What is DiTEM?
We can all see and have experienced the impact that the digital revolution has had on the way we work and play. For many, especially young people often referred to as ‘millennials’ or Generation Z, technology is something with which that they have grown up. However, for other generations digital technology can still be a little daunting and somewhat intimidating. For larger enterprises with the resources to exploit technology, it has led to huge opportunities enabling access to global markets and productivity and efficiency gains.
However, for smaller enterprises and many sections of the population, the digital world is still a little bit of a mystery and something to be avoided. DiTEM set out to open-up the digital world to entrepreneurs and managers from micro enterprises in the United Kingdom, Italy, Finland, Denmark and Greece. To help address this problem, partners developed the DiTEM e-learning platform. The platform comprises a set of six learning modules covering: e-leadership, Cyber Security, Big Data, Cloud, Mobile Solutions and Social Media. The course is also available in Greek, Bulgarian, Italian, Danish and Finish and is free for anyone to register on to the course.
During the pilot test phase of DiTEM, Exponential Training supported micro-enterprises through the DiTEM on-line course. In total, just under 100 managers from micro-enterprises registered onto the DiTEM learning portal from the UK.
To celebrate the success of the DiTEM pilot and project, partners prepared a celebration brochure. The brochure shares lots of information about the course, the research and feedback from learners. To download a copy, simply Click Here.
The DiTEM courses which is FREE, includes ideas, tips and tools on a broad range of topics that will be useful to all businesses, especially smaller ones. Although the official pilot test phase of the project is rapidly ending, it is still not too late to register for a place on the course. Simply, contact firstname.lastname@example.org, check out the DiTEM Course or visit the project website: https://www.ditem.eu/.
