The importance of innovation for SMEs is widely recognised. Innovation boosts productivity and facilitates substantial growth in sales. Survival rates are also higher in SMEs that innovate, for the simple reason that they are flexible and better able to adapt to challenging market conditions. To operate effectively, a systematic approach is needed if improvement efforts are to succeed and businesses are to remain competitive in dynamic markets.
Most SMEs do not adopt a holistic, practical and integrated approach to innovation
Management as most innovation capacity building models are too complex for smaller enterprises. The EPIC project will develop simple training and assessment support programme designed specifically to support SMEs to increase their innovation capabilities and productivity.

Exponential Training (ETA) is a vocational education, training supplier operating in over 50 different countries worldwide and specialises in the following areas:
- Development and delivery of online, distance and blended learning programmes awarded by the Chartered Management Institute;
- Development and management of online learning platforms;
- Delivery of vocational qualifications for managers, SME owners and business coaches.
SLOVENSKY PLASTIKARSKY KLASTER – Slovakia
SPK is interest association of independent legal entities and related institutions which are regionally and surregionally connected with potential of increasing of their competitiveness and economic growth. The cluster was found as initiative of non-governmental entities in plastics production sector.
TREBAG Ltd – Hungary
Since 1995, they have been engaged in research and development, primarily in the field of Internet content development and the practical application of the Internet. They have been developing teaching materials since 2000, primarily e-learning materials. They have participated in a number of projects under the European Union Framework Programs and the Lifelong Learning Program.
Trebag have been providing R & D & I management consulting since 2005. This service has already been used by a significant number of companies and large companies.
Dekaplus Business Services Ltd – Cyprus
DekaPlus Business Services has been in operation since 2006, consulting the business sector on introducing innovative practices and on applying good business practices. One of the sectors DekaPlus has been actively involved is the Hospitality and Tourism industry being the most significant sector of the Cyprus economy, providing training to management and first line staff, consulting, process re-engineering using innovative practices.
IDEC- Greece
IDEC is a training consulting company located in Piraeus, Greece. Its activities consist of training, management consulting, quality assurance, evaluation and development of ICT
solutions for both private and public sector. Clients of IDEC are both SMEs and the bigger Greek companies of a wide variety of sectors. It co-operates with more than 800 institutes all
through Europe and with about 300 experts on specific fields.
IDEC has extensive experience in European projects, either as coordinator or as partner from different European programs and Initiatives. The last 18 years IDEC is dealing with the
theme of quality assurance in training and has coordinated the projects EQUAL, Quality.net, BEQUAL and QUADRAT in the same subject. Moreover IDEC has consulting experience
in developing quality management systems in Greek training centres.

Tabela Espontanea Lda was founded in Cascais (Lisbon) in 2017, with the goal of providing high quality international services in two main areas: training development, training and
human capacity development; corporate ICT consultancy. The company counts with three permanent staff members and cooperates with a network of professionals from various
areas, depending on the project needs.
The company has an extensive corporate client base, counting with over 200 small, medium and big companies, including both Portuguese and international firms, private and public
entities and NGOs.
Energom SRL – Romania
Energom was founded in 2002, has 13 years of experience in electrical panels and integration of electromechanical equipment: conveyors, test benches, special machines. Industrial
equipment and electrical cabinet builder for sectors like Energy, Tyre Industry, Automotive, Semiconductors, Aeronautical, Packaging, certified with ISO 9001 / 2015 and working on
getting Integrated management System and ISO 3834-2 for welding.
The main area of activity of Energom orbits around automotive and tyre industry, energy transportation and distribution, safety, mobility and control solutions.
