To give this project it’s full name, Digital Transformation of European Micro Enterprises is about developing an innovative learning pathway for entrepreneurs and managers to be able to implement strategies to support the digital transformation of their enterprises.

A Digital Transformation in Small Businesses

Recognising the underutilisation by the majority of small and medium-sized enterprises, partners will design and deliver a new e-leadership skills programme. On completion of the programme, business owners and managers will be able to implement strategies to enable their enterprises to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technologies.

One of the greatest challenges facing smaller businesses today is how to compete with much larger and global enterprises. Unless smaller businesses find a way to implement strategies to embrace the digital age, most will continue to miss out on opportunities exploited by other more digitally competent enterprises. They will miss out on the potential for increased productivity, competitiveness and job creation, thereby lessening the positive impact of the digital economy on the European economy and individual business success.

Enterprise Experts to Lead the Project

DiTEM is being led by Manchester Metropolitan University’s specialist entrepreneurship team with support from Italian project specialists Eurocrea Merchant. The University will ensure that the project integrates the latest in digital technologies into the DiTEM solution. The remainder of the project team includes partners from Greece, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland and of course Exponential Training.
