Achilles Group Complete Multinational CMI Programme

Achilles Group Complete Multinational CMI Programme
29 April 2016 James Dillon

In the blog post, Is Management your Organisation’s ‘Achilles Heel’? I talked about the challenges facing growing global businesses and how one global business, the Achilles Group Limited, decided to invest in its management team to sustain its growth.

Today, I want to congratulate the Achilles Managers on being awarded one of the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) professional qualifications.

Achilles Group Limited

With almost 950 employees and operating in 22 countries, Achilles turned to Exponential Training to design and deliver a management development programme to up-skill its First Line Managers. Nine managers from India, Bratislava, Germany, Norway, USA, Slovakia, Hong Kong and the UK embarked upon the CMI Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management qualification.

One of the aims of the programme was the need to deliver the management development programme across the business which involved multiple time zones, nationalities and management roles. The solution was the design and delivery of our online distance learning qualifications supported with one-to-one performance coaching, feedback and support.

Programme Director, Anne-Marie Daly said, “Working with the Achilles management team has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience for me. I get a real kick out of seeing people grow in confidence and hearing about the impact they have within their organisation. For me, achieving a Chartered Management Institute qualification is more about the development of the person and their impact at work than it is about the qualification itself”.

What do Achilles Managers think?

Manager, Lucas Rattiseau, from Houston, Texas (USA) said that he found the Exponential Training programme helped him to evaluate and improve performance as well as helping him to identify and address the needs of his main stakeholders.

“I have learned to be more mindful of my stakeholders and my role in affecting the performance of my team”

Surya Sharma from Mumbai, India said that there were many learning points such as learning how to make the business case for proposal. Surya pointed out that as a result of the programme he had built a structured process to handle people and process challenges.

Angus Cheung from Hong Kong said, “I am able to manage the team in a more efficient way. It was a great self-learning experience with one to one support along the way.”

On a similar theme, Lucas Ratisseau commented: “The material was very thorough, and I feel I have a strong grasp of the subject matter presented. Anne-Marie with Exponential Training provided excellent help with my assignment”

Programme Director, Anne-Marie Daly, told me that she felt a little embarrassed by the generous feedback provided by the Achilles managers.

“The programme was very useful. With the help of the tutor I always had real time feedback on my progress.”

“Fantastic Support & Great Feedback Mechanism.”

“My personal tutor was great in supporting me.”

Bespoke Management Development

The whole Exponential Training team would like to congratulate the Achilles management team on their achievements. It is very satisfying when we receive such glowing feedback from customers. One of our company values is to “make a difference to the performance of managers and organisations” – hearing such tangible evidence of this makes me feel very proud of the Exponential Training team.

WELL DONE to everyone at Achilles Group!
