These qualifications are aimed at Advisers that support the SME Market. The core units within these qualifications are focused on developing effective business support relationships with clients, enabling the client to analyse the business and implement change, developing business support networks, reflective practice and development in business support and monitoring the business support service.

This qualification has been designed so that learners can complete progressively. The Diploma is the full qualification however, you can start off with the Certificate and 'top-up' to the Diploma by completing the additional Units.
Level 5 Certificate in Business Support:
Duration: 3 - 6 Months (Flexible)

Our Level 5 Certificate in Business Support (QCF) gives you a broad knowledge of the role of a business advisor while focusing on the specific business support areas appropriate to the role of an advisor.
Level 5 Diploma in Business Support:
Duration: 12 Months (Flexible)

With a more comprehensive structure, our Level 5 Diploma in Business Support (QCF) gives you the skills and competencies you'll need to become and advisor. A Level 5 Diploma in Business Support is the benchmark qualification for full membership of the Institute of Consulting and becoming a Chartered Manager.
Throughout the qualification you will have access to a dedicated Performance Coach who will be your Tutor/ Assessor throughout the programme, providing you with all the support and guidance you need. Our highly supportive approach sets us apart from our competitors and enables us to tailor the programme around your individual needs.
Working one-to-one with a Performance Coach and reviewing what you do and how you do it really makes a difference. By working smarter, you save yourself time, streamline routine processes and find solutions to current and on-going problems. Some of the problems our clients have addressed recently include: managing an under-performing team member; managing their work load and creating time to work on key projects; and spending too much time on ‘fire-fighting’ activities.
The way you work with your Performance Coach involves working on the things that are causing you the most problems and pain. We do not use simulations or hypothetical scenarios to help you achieve your qualification – we use live, real-time problems that you are facing and support you to make improvements and move forward.
We use the qualification as a framework to embed the learning and development into the workplace in order to maximise the impact on performance.
The Institute of Consulting (IC) and Chartered Management Institute (CMI) would recommend the below qualifications as a possible progression route, once completing the Level 5 Business Support qualification:
- Level 7 Professional Consulting qualifications
- Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership qualifications
CMI qualifications at QCF Level 5 portray practical skills and competences that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to Foundation Degrees and Higher National Diplomas (HND).
