The trouble with projects is…

Project IPEC is an innovative Erasmus+ project that has the potential to transform the way small businesses manage projects. Next year will see the launch of Project IPEC a new project management app designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses. Why not get the app?

Most projects overrun on time and budget

FACT #1: Projects overrun on both time and costs.

FACT #2: Most projects fail to deliver the proposed results and impact.

FACT #3: Smaller companies do not make the most of project management as a business tool.

Research shows that many small companies do not use or understand how to use project management to drive business performance. Models and techniques like Prince2, ‘agile’ and ‘scrum’ leave many business owners and managers behind and are often more suited to larger, more complex projects.

Project IPEC aims to develop a simple app that any small business can use to set up and deliver projects quickly and effectively. The task undertaken by the Erasmus+ project team was to define the needs of smaller enterprises resulting in a ‘lite’ project management model, known as IPEC.

Based on four stages – Initiate, Plan, Execute, and Close – the IPEC model comprise a series of simple steps. The IPEC model is now being developed as an app enabling any business and manager to, plan, execute and monitor the progress of their projects from start to finish.

When will the IPEC app be Available?

The IPEC app has been in development for nearly 12 months. It will be released for initial testing in 2017. To be among the first to use the IPEC app, get in touch with john.moore@exponentialtraining.com

Project IPEC is being led by The Institute of Technology Tralee, supported by Exponential Training and partners from Greece, Cyprus, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
