Linda is Now a Leader in Business

Without going to university, Linda has become a Chartered Manager and holder of multiple management and leadership qualifications in less than three years. Her achievements set her apart from over 80 per cent of UK managers.

Linda – the Chartered Manager!

Linda Poyser CMgr, is one determined and ambitious manager. Linda has over fifteen years’ experience and now works in Audit Compliance for Wakefield Adult and Community Education Service. To achieve one of her goals - "to match the level of experience of other managers" - she knew she needed to undertake some management development.

"I needed to add appropriate qualifications as I knew that my CV had to reflect and confirm my capabilities and that to only list practical experience would not be enough. In 2013, I enrolled on the Chartered Management Institute’s (CMI) Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership programme and 10 months later had successfully completed the qualification. This made me hungry for even more development so one month later I enrolled on the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership Programme."

Results using Flexible, Distance Learning

Not wanting to commit to regular attendance on a taught programme, Linda wanted a more flexible, distance learning approach, hence she chose Exponential Training. Linda needed to be able fit her studying around her busy life and work commitments.

"My ambition was always to be a Chartered something. I thought I might have become a Chartered Accountant as my career started in the world of finance. However, I am delighted and proud to be a Chartered Manager."

Armed with a new level of self-confidence, when she was asked to manage the reports within an OFSTED inspection in the absence of her line manager, Linda had no hesitation. Not only was the OFSTED inspection a success, Linda felt that she had gained credibility and recognition from her senior management team.

"I feel even more organised and structured in the way I work. I have always had to work to targets and deadlines, but now I am able to put structures around the systems I have to use."

Linda Poyser CMgr

Linda said that one of her proudest moments came after the award of her Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management. The moment was when she achieved one of her dreams to be a Chartered Manager. This accolade sets Linda apart from thousands of other managers and enabled her to use the post nominal letters CMgr.
