Earlier this month I was fortunate enough to be selected to join the Exponential Team as Projects & Events Coordinator, since which things have been non-stop!
From Day One I was given the responsibility of booking flights and hotels for our upcoming European Project meetings, and trusted with my own key to the office! It will be exciting to meet our Partners from various EU countries after communicating with them over the last month, and I am looking forward to travelling for meetings to Vienna, Larnaca and Bordeaux before the end of November 2015.
I am getting involved with some fantastic European Projects, including our two new projects starting this year, Fit4BusinessGrowth (F4BG) and Project IPEC. Fit4BusinessGrowth aims to assist SMEs to grow and expand their opportunities through the use of Wellness Practices, High Performance Work Practices and Business Growth Coaching. Project IPEC (Initiate, Plan, Execute & Close) aims to develop a simple project methodology for use specifically within small businesses and integrate the use of gamification techniques to help managers to deliver effective, high impact projects on time and on budget. Last night, I took part in an online planning meeting with two of the Project IPEC Partners. It is great to be involved right from the start and I am really excited about this project.
I am also looking forward to getting involved with two current European Projects, UseWine and LEXSHA. UseWine encourages the focus on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach to Wine SMEs in rural areas, ensuring they focus on three main pillars: People, Planet and Profit. Finally LEXSHA which is an environment that incorporates the combination of Learning, EXploring and SHAring methods for Small/Micro Enterprises. I have been working on various evaluation surveys and am very impressed with the results of that the LEXSHA project team has achieved. I cannot wait to attend the European Conference in November 2015 and to meet many of the business owners who have taken part in LEXSHA.
What has my experience of being the 'newbie' at Exponential Training? I can sum it up in three words – HECTIC, INSPIRATIONAL and ENJOYABLE. The Exponential Team have made me feel so welcome and their enthusiasm for these European Projects and what we do as a business is obvious every working day. Although I still have a lot to learn, I am loving every minute of my time here, and look forward to the challenges ahead.
